There are a lot of things about being a vegan that I would like to change. One of the main ones is the amount of time I spend cooking and eating. I still cook, but not as much as I’d like. I also still eat a lot of processed food, and I do that because I’m not a vegan. However, I am spending less time cooking. I eat a lot of pasta and I cook a lot of vegan meals too.
When you’re a vegan, you take for granted the fact that you don’t have to cook. In the world of vegan cookbooks that we all read, the recipes and food are very basic. For example, a vegan can use spinach instead of pasta. I don’t see that as a negative. I just see it as a waste of money.
It’s not that I don’t cook because I’m not a vegan. Im just not as good at it as I used to be. That being said, I still cook a lot. One of the things I love doing with my food, when I’m really hungry, is to heat up some veggie sausage and then throw it in the microwave. Then I’ll eat it with my favorite protein, like grilled cheese or turkey.
I guess that sounds boring, but it has a lot of interesting uses. My favorite is to make a salad that I can eat for lunch or dinner with my favorite protein, like grilled cheese or turkey. I can throw it in the microwave and just pretend that it is meat.
