I would like to say that I am not a person that accepts donations, but I’m not. I have accepted donations, and I can tell you that the ones that I’ve gotten, have been well-meaning and sincerely meant. I have had people that have felt obligated to give money specifically for my website.
I have yet to take a donation from anyone that I feel has been well-meaning and sincerely meant, but I have a couple of people in my life that I know are genuinely good people with no strings attached.
I also take donations, and I have a number of people that I know have been sincerely good people and no strings attached. I have a number of people who I know have accepted donations from me that have been well-meaning and sincerely meant.
The problem with all this is that many of these donations are not actually going to be used for the website, but rather just for me to make some easy money. This leads me to believe that the more people that donate, the harder it is for my website to get funds to spend on the website.
I was actually thinking recently that I was going to have to stop accepting donations, so if you have any of your readers who want to donate, and I don’t know what you’re doing, just send me an email and we can work out something. It’s not going to take much to make this website go away, but it will take a lot of effort to make it difficult for donors to donate, so I’d rather people donate to a charity and then donate to me.
I was thinking about this too. I know I don’t get nearly as many donations as I’d like. I’ve been putting some of my own money into the site and I’ve been happy about it. I’m working on making it a bit easier for people to donate to me, but there’s still plenty of hard work ahead of me.
Do you think it’s possible to make this website a bit easier? I know you have to make it a bit easier, but I can help you out if you want.
